FAQs
HOW DO I PURCHASE A TICKET?
Simply click on any of the “Buy Tickets Now” buttons. After following all the prompts on the page, you will be sent a confirmation email and can pick up your lanyard at the registration desk at Sullivan Goss Gallery (11 E. Anapamu St.). You can also have tickets sent to your phone.
IS THERE RESERVED SEATING?
Super VIP and VIP ticket holders have a reserved, preferred seating section. There are no specific seating charts. However, the venue capacities are only 200 seats, so there are really no bad seats in the intimate venues.
SHOULD I CHECK IN FOR THE WHOLE SYMPOSIUM, OR CAN I JUST GO TO ONE OF THE VENUES ?
You can skip registration and attend the programming of your choice, but we HIGHLY recommend that you register on the first day if possible at The Masonic Temple, 16 E Carillo Street. You can also register throughout the symposium at Sullivan Goss Gallery during there regular hopurs 10-5pm. There will be ticketing staff at each of the venues, but if you register before going to venues, you will receive a lanyard and not have to stop at the venue check-in desk.
ARE THE VENUES WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF EACH OTHER?
Most of the venues are within a half-mile radius from Santa Barbara Museum of Art in the Downtown area. Exceptions include the programming at UCSB (8 miles) and VADA at Santa Barbara High School (.75 miles from SBMA). All the venues are on direct MTD bus routes which except apple pay etc., including the express shuttle to UCSB, which leaves and returns from the main bus terminal, very close to MCASB and SBMA. There are bicycles for rent, and, of course, Uber is an option.
ARE THERE PARTICIPATING HOTELS THAT ARE OFFERING ROOM SPECIALS FOR ATTENDEES?
Yes! Please go to the Transportation/Lodging page for links to our hospitality partners.
IS THERE AN APP FOR THAT?
Our website is web enabled, so you can search for the site on your phone. There is no native app to download from the app store.
ARE DOGS WELCOME?
We love dogs, but the speaking venues frown upon them. However, your fur baby can join us at the outdoor opening and closing receptions (MCASB and SBCAST) and of course they are welcome at the public exhibition on Wednesday (10-08) evening in the Library Plaza.
